When Mary Baker Eddy wrote Christ and Christmas, the 15-verse illustrated poem, she turned to James Gilman to bring his unique artistic sensibilities to the illustrations. She envisioned each aspect of each illustration to her poem, and looked to Gilman to successfully illustrate her vision. Told through original letters, notes, and reminiscences between Mary Baker Eddy and James Gilman, this book presents a window into the tremendous work, persistence, prayers, and discernment that Mrs. Eddy brought to bear on the Cause of Christian Science which she founded.
