Ira O. Knapp and Flavia Stickney Knapp were two of Mary Baker Eddy’s faithful students. This book, written by their youngest son, Bliss Knapp, himself a Christian Science practitioner, teacher, and lecturer for several decades, tells of one family’s long and close relationship with the Discoverer and Founder of Christian Science. In the process, it presents a first-hand account of the establishment of The First Church of Christ, Scientist, in Boston, Massachusetts. The book contains excerpts from letters between Eddy and the Knapp family, and examples of Christian Science healing.
